Jim Kroner Remembered

Some of you may remember James, high school boyfriend. Well I found out Saturday that his dad passed away Friday morning. I am assuming sometime in the last month he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had surgery Friday to remove the tumor and their were complications and he passed away.

Even though James & I have not keep in contact much since high school, this hit me harder than I thought it would. Big Jim was a great guy and dad. For some time it was just James & his dad until Jim starting dating Judy (Keith Isgrigg's mom). They were great together and eventually got married.

If you never knew Jim, you were missing out. In the 3 years that I knew him, he made me laugh many times usually because he was giving some telemarketer a hard time on the phone. I can only imagine the frustration that those workers had. You would think they would learn not to call your house.

Well Jim, you will be missed by many and I am sure never forgotten by your family & friends. I know that you are at peace now and looking down on your family and keeping them safe. Stay strong Kroner family.

Thankful for...

Today I am thankful for my job. Even thought is might be crazy and annoying some days, I am very thankful that I have a job.

Thankful for...

So I am going to try something for the next couple of weeks. Since Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away, I am going to try and post everyday what I am thankful for. The holidays come around each year and I think sometimes we forget what the true meaning behind those holidays.

So today I am thankful for my husband and our marriage. We have been married for 2 1/2 years and it seems like just yesterday. He is brought out the good in me and shown me to not always take everything too serious. So today I am thankful for Stan.

Veterans Day

Today is Veterans Day and you may not know the history behind this day.

World War I – known at the time as “The Great War” - officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles, France. However, fighting ceased seven months earlier when an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.” Armistice Day, as November 11 became known, officially became a holiday in the United States in 1926, and a national holiday 12 years later. On June 1, 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all U.S. veterans.

There are so many men & women that choose to help to keep us safe. Many of those people will never see their families again because that one choose.

So today remember those men & women who fight for our freedom. If you see a soldier today, tell them thank you. They are the reason we are here today.

What is wrong with people????

What is wrong with people the last 2 days? Yesterday we have a member of our military who is supposed to protect us, opens fire and fills 13 people and injures 30. And then an ex-employe kills 7 at his former office building in Orlando.

I just don't understand what could go through someones mind as they commit such a crime.
