Prayers

In an instant your life can change and that happened this weekend. Tim & Kori's dad Duane fell on Friday and is currently in the ICU. As of right now he is on a ventilater and is paralized from his neck down. It is still very early and there is still alot of swelling. So until the swelling goes down, they won't know much and can not do much. They are trying to keep him as comfortable as possible and staying by his side. I know the power of prayer and they need prayers & support now. Be strong Duane.

My husband

So my fun and exciting Monday evening consited of going through my pictures on the computer and deleting the duplicates and putting them in the right folder. So I know what they heck they are and when they are from. So as I was going through the pictures I came across this great picture of my husband. If you know Stan at all, you know he is a complete goofball. This picture trully shows how much of a goofball he is. This was taking last spring at the Festus Intermediate 5th grade talent show. Every year the 5th grade kids are part of a talent show and Stan will usually DJ it as well as put on some type of performance for the kids. This year he managed to convince the rest of the 5th grade class to also perform. Stan has the weird talent of taking a song and changing the words to match the beat. So the teachers created a rock band and sang a special song just for the kids. So here is the band "Toxic Teachers".

So I couldn't find the youtube video of their performance, but here is the 5th grade teachers first with the addition of the rest of the teachers doing a dance revolution. Again, Stan is the one in the acting like a fool and the one in orange on the far left is the principle. I wish I had teachers/principles like this when I was in school.

Monday Morning

Have I ever told you that I HATE mondays? Well I do and to top it off, we are starting registration today. Now it is much better than it used to be. The university has gone to an online registration and this would be the second time we have had online. Before, our office had to enroll every student by hand which become very annoying. The students would line up outside the night before because they thought they would have a better chance to get in the classes. And then we had to hear them complain when a class was closed and they had to have the class.

So anyway, we have online which is better but still annoying. So we hear the complaning from the students who cannot log in or their advisor has forgotten to approve them to register. Very annoying. Okay, I'm done ranting for now. Till next time.

Bathroom Fun

So Monday nights I am home by myself because Stan has classes and then he will usually stay at his parents in St Charles. The drive is much shorter to work the next day. So about 7:30 last night I went to use the bathroom and the light would not turn on. I thought that was pretty weird and then I looked up and say the light fixture over the mirror hanging down barely holding on by one wire. So I freak and run downstairs to flip the switch on the breaker box so the house would not catch on fire. That would be my luck. Thankfully it did not break the mirror or any of the bulbs (at least not yet). So I'm trying to figure out what I do with this problem and run outside to try and find a screwdriver and try and at least put it back up there even if it is not wired and I hear it crash to the floor. By some grace of god, only 2 of the light bulbs broke. So I can't call Stan because he is in class and not sure what to do. When all else falls, call your mom. And of course she was not home. Well I managed to clean up the light bulbs that broke and Stan ending up getting out of class early so he came home. When he looked at it closer he realized the problem. The idiot that made the thing put plastic brackets on it. How stupid. So it is still not fixed, Stan is going to get some metal brackets, but everyone is okay and there was not a fire. Well I was so freaked last night that I did not get a picture of it, but will try when I get home tonight. It was a site to see.

Facebook

So I'm not on the computer much at home because I'm on the computer all day at work. So most of the time when I check Facebook, I'm at work. Which as never been a problem until yesterday. Someone found out that a LU staff member has over 200 LU students as friends on facebook. And they are not even using for work/school purposes. So because of that, they have blocked facebook now. Talk about suckiness (not sure if that is a word). I mean how stupid can you be? So because one person is stupid, we all have to suffer. They have blocked it before and then turned it back on, so maybe after some time I will be able to get back on. But until then, I will feel so very distant from my facebook friends.

5 weeks till vacation

So with all this cold weather all I can do is think about our vacation. And with some advice from Stan, instead of counting days until we leave, I am counting weeks. Counting days just seem to take too long. Some of you may know, but Stan & I won a free cruise on our last cruise last summer. So it makes this cruise even better and hopefully cheaper. We are taking our free cruise leaving from Tampa and cruising to Belize City and Costa Maya. With our vacation getting closer it has given that extra push that I have needed in order to loose some weight and get back in shape. My ultimate goal is to loss 40 pounds but would like to loss 10-15 by the time we leave. I started the new circuit workout 2 weeks ago and lost 3 pounds this week. Yeah!!!
